The classic cleaner shrimp, popular and beloved around the world for its valuable cleaning of unwanted parasites and dead scales from the fish that visit them. After these shrimp settle in to your tank they are typically visible at all times advertising their services to their fellow aquarium inhabitants. 

Housing two at a time of this species is advised. Additional cleaner shrimp will commonly be killed and consumed.  

Contrary to popular belief cleaner shrimp cannot cure your fish of marine ich and it is not recommended that they be used with that goal in mind.
